About the BiG-i
The International Communication Center for Persons with Disabilities (known more commonly as BIG-i) was established by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare to commemorate the United Nations Decade of Disabled Persons and stand as a symbol of what can be achieved through disabled people’s Full Inclusion and Equality across the country. It is a space for disabled people to use for international exchange activities and arts and culture activities, through which not just disabled people, but everyone can take part, promoting disabled people’s social inclusion.
BiG-i Arts
BIG-i provides a space for people with or without disabilities to come together to experience art, and ultimately through arts events achieve international intercommunication and social inclusion.
